Chui, a young Border Collie, was about 4 months old when he came to North Star. Like so many other Border Collie pups....he was surrendered by his owner when it was discovered he had too much energy to be content living in a mobilehome. When he became bored he also became destructive - and even though his owners loved him dearly they knew he needed more than what they could give him.

Chui thrived at his foster home playing with all the other dogs. Once he discovered how much fun it was to chase balls, the sky was the limit for this athletic boy. He loved playing in the kiddie pool and was always ready for a good time.

Chui was adopted and went to his forever home on August 22, 2009.

I am totally thrilled with how Chui did at his very first agility trial today. He sat down at every start line, held every SLS for long leadouts, he did 2o2o on all of his contacts, worked beautifully at distance, ran fast and has 2 Qs under his collar!!

I received this awesome update from Robin. Chui was my foster pup. Robin came all the way from Minnisota to get Chui when she fell in love with him on our website. He was a very active boy, and Robin has provided the perfect home for him and given him a real job to do. What an amazing "spokesman" Chui is for rescue dogs.....just goes to show they can do ANYTHING!

We will be hearing a lot more about this boy I am sure. Keep the updates coming Robin, you are doing an amazing job training this very talented boy.

I received these photos of Chui just the other day, who I am proud to say was one of my foster dogs. He is SUCH an accomplished boy and his owner is doing an amazing job training him. She told me he is entered in a tracking test to get his TD title.

GO GET 'EM CHUI.....we are all rooting for you!

Well....another feather in this talented boy's cap - Chui has earned his Tracking Dog title! Here is an update from his proud mom:

Hi Toni!!

Today Chui earned his TD title today. He was the only dog at the test (7 dogs) who passed. He was SO good. Chui is an AWESOME tracking dog.

He never stopped tracking nose to the ground until the end, finishing the track in 8 minutes.

We get to run a TD test again next weekend because we got in two tests, neither of which has alternates. So even though he now has his title, we will run again

Chui has a little brother now, who's name is Mozzie. Mozzie is 8 months old now. He joined the family when he was 7 weeks old.

The CPE National Event (agility) was in Minnesota this summer, so Chui and I entered. He did well for being just two years old!

Chui earned his TDX tracking title on October 9, 2011 at Hartman Creek State Park in Waupaca, WI. The test was hosted by Northern Flyway Golden Retriever Club. I'm so proud of him, the judges thought he was a great working dog.

Adding to Chui's long list of accomplishments.....he now has his Novice Agility title! Congratulations to Chui and Robin for a job well done.

CONGRATULATIONS to Chui and Robin!! On January 3, 2015, Chui finished his Open Standard Title. What a great update AND picture of this awesome team.
