Archer came to North Star as an owner surrender when his family realized Border Collies and very young children are not a good mix. We believe him to be purebred and estimate his date of birth to be around April 28, 2012.
Archer is a happy boy who gets along well with other dogs and cats. He also likes playing with toys and will often entertain himself with his favorite ball. He is doing well with his house training, but being a puppy means he needs constant supervision to prevent accidents. He sleeps in a crate at night and keeps it clean and dry. A yard with a PHYSICAL fence will be required and no children under the age thirteen please.
Archer has received his first set of puppy vaccinations and has been micro-chipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick preventative and has also received a Bordatella to help prevent kennel cough. Because of his age, Archer has not yet been neutered. This means he will need to be adopted with a spay/neuter contract which requires a $100 deposit to be held by North Star until the adopter provides proof he has been neutered. At that time the $100 deposit will be returned.
Archer needs to stay in foster care a minimum of two weeks, but as long as he remains healthy ....will be available for adoption October 12, 2012.
