Mikki is a female Border Collie puppy, born March 26, 2012. She is a happy and confident puppy who has been well socialized with people. She enjoys the company of the other dogs here and is willing to jump right in the middle of the mix even though she is a petite little girl. She has been introduced to the kiddie pool and loves to play in the water. We are working on her house training and she is doing well, but she is a puppy and needs constant supervision. She is doing very well with her crate training and is good about keeping it clean. She is still young enough that sometimes she needs to go out during the night...but she lets me know so I am able to get her outside in time. It is hard to tell at this age what her energy level will be, but it is obvious she is not a low energy dog. Like most Border Collies, she will need someone that can provide her with an outlet for her energy and also keep her mentally stimulated to avoid problems as she matures.
As long as Mikki continues to stay healthy...she will be available for adoption after July 16, 2012. Because she is so young, she will need to be adopted with a spay/neuter contract which consists of a $100.00 deposit (in addition to the $250.00 adoption fee) which will be returned upon proof she has been spayed. The contract states she must be spayed prior to seven months of age. The surgery is done at the adopter's expense.
