Josie was one of my first foster dogs when I came to North Star. She came to me with her sister Maddie at six weeks old when one of our volunteers heard about a litter of puppies being handed out in a parking lot in northern Michigan and drove to go get them. Unfortunately by the time she got there, six had already been given away and only Josie and Maddie were left.
Maddie was the quiet one, and Josie got her name from the movie "The outlaw Josie Wales". I guess that kind of sums it up, huh?
She was the most spirited little thing that had absolutely no fear of anything. Here are some pictures of her while she was with me....

Here is Josie, Angie and Steve on adoption day! And below is the Christmas card I received this year from Steve, Angie and her sister Keely. What a lucky, lucky girl to be so loved.

Hi Toni,
We love our pups and they love us! (Although I'm pretty sure Josie is more in love with her ball or ANY ball than anything.)
Keely and Josie are the highlights of our every day. We are blessed with their playful, loving and carefree attitudes.
Have a splendid Holiday Toni!
