Jack

Jack, a Border Collie mix was found in January, 2008 chained up in a yard with his collar embedded in his neck. He had to have surgery to remove his collar, but with a lot of TLC and training, Jack turned into a fun-loving, energetic dog. He eventually found his forever family and went home on October 14, 2008.

Jack is a bundle of energy, enthusiasm & affection who is in need of an active lifestyle. Jack was brought into rescue in January, when he was found chained up in a yard with his collar embedded into his neck. After surgery to remove his collar and some TLC and training, Jack is now available for adoption!!

Jack has been through 12 weeks of agility training and has earned a Beginners Achievement Award. He seems to love the thrill of running the course and is very toy motivated! Jack loves to get out and run & explore, so his foster mom has trained him to run next to the bike. He does a great job of staying attentive and right next to the bike, he would make a great running partner!

Jack is up-to-date on all of his vaccines, microchipped & has been neutered. Even though Jack is well behaved & a very quick learner, he will need obedience training with his new family. Jack knows, sit, down, off, kennel-up (to go in crate), come (has selective hearing with this one occasionally) & watch (eye contact to get his attention). He is learning more everyday & is willing to try pretty much everything. Having spent his puppy days on a tie-out, Jack doesn't know too much about toys, but is learning how much fun they can be more everyday. < Jack is being fostered in Central Michigan.
