Winston
Posted: Sun Sep 05, 2010 10:26 pmThis handsom fella is Winston. He was found as a stray running with a lab at a local lake. Winston is about 12-18 months old and is fairly tall boy. We believe him to be a Border Collie Mix. He is thin but not starved and should fill out quickly. He is a wonderful spirit who loves everyone and everything he meets. He is a typically exuberant youngster..."off" has been the operative word since he got here but he is gentle about putting his paws on you and is a quick learner.
He already knows sit, down, shake, come...well he knows come but gets a little distracted by all the sites here on the farm
He is interested in the cats but not aggressive and backs off quickly if one hisses. The chickens were interesting as well but he does not obsess about them and quickly moves off to the next adventure. He is appropriate with the other dogs and shows no interest in being the boss...he got corrected by Nelson yesterday and today and moves out of his way fast now. He met the two 10 year old twin boys that live next door and had a blast playing with them. He showed a lot of interest in a ball at the shelter but hasn't really shown any interest here. He's going to make someone a wonderful pet!
